Wool generally should be dry cleaned. Always follow garment label instructions when pretreating and laundering your clothes. For colored garments, test an inside seam for colorfastness.
Dye transfer is typically hard to remove. You may, however, try the following instructions:If the garment is washable, remove stains with a commercial color remover (usually located in the laundry area, if not ask the store clerk). Then wash with Perwoll Balsam Magic. If stain remains, launder again with Perwoll Balsam Magic and a wool compatible stain remover (if recommended for the garment). If dry clean only, take it to the dry cleaner for stain removal.To prevent future color transfer, do not leave wet clothing in the washer after the cycle is complete.
